The Folsom Lake Yacht Club is pleased to host the Flying Dutchmen Summer Regatta on Sat., Aug. 28 and Sun., Aug. 29, 2004. Attached are sailing instructions for next weekend's Flying Dutchman Summer Regatta. Since these instructions were taken word for word from our Series Race program, the following changes apply: 2. REGISTRATION: Participants must register with the Race Committee at Hobie Cove (Brown's Ravine, Folsom Lake SRA) not later than 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004. A Registration Form will be emailed to known members of the FD fleet. Registration fees shall be the responsibility of the Flying Dutchman fleet. FLYC will not charge the Flying Dutchman fleet a registration fee, though reimbursement for fuel and other expenses is appreciated. 3. SKIPPER'S MEETING: A Skipper's Meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28 at Hobie Cove. 4. SCHEDULE OF RACES: Saturday, Aug. 28, first shape at 11 a.m. at center mark. Sunday, Aug. 29, first shape at 10 a.m. at center mark. 5. CLASSES: There shall be one class of one-design Flying Dutchmen. Flying Dutchman class rules shall apply and be enforced by the class measurer. 13. AWARDS: Awards, if desired, shall be determined by the Flying Dutchman fleet. 14. DOCK PARTY: A Dock Party, if desired, shall be provided by the Flying Dutchman fleet. Additional information can be found at the following Web sites: www.flyc.org www.folsomlakemarina.com www.visitfolsom.com http://www.parks.ca.gov/default.asp?page_id=500 Please be advised, no campgrounds are located on the Brown's Ravine (Folsom) side of Folsom Lake SRA. The nearest campgrounds are at Beal's Point. If you camp at Beal's Point, plan to trailer your boat to Brown's Ravine. Do not plan to sail across the lake, as it is a long sail between Beal's Point and Brown's Ravine and you'll likely miss the first shape, certainly the skipper's meeting. Race Committee: Saturday: Mary Niederberger, Craig Lee, Phil Hodgson or Steve Galeria Sunday: John Poimiroo, George Koch, Rob Koch or Mark Erdrich
